Christopher Dunford

Christopher Dunford

President

Dr. Dunford, who holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Sociology, joined Freedom from Hunger in 1984. In 1986, Dr. Dunford conducted a study of U.S. poverty and health and developed a new programming strategy for Freedom from Hunger in the United States. Dr. Dunford is one of the three chief architects in the design and implementation of Freedom from Hunger's Credit with Education strategy.

Christopher Hest

Vice President for External Affairs

Christopher Hest, Vice President for External Affairs, is charged with growing Freedom from Hunger's revenue base and communications activities to meet the exciting expansion goals for Freedom from Hunger's programs. Christopher has more than 20 years' experience in major gift development and fundraising leadership, and has led the external affairs functions at leading institutions across the U.S. Christopher is a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Fund Raising Counsel. He holds a degree in Political Science from Duke University.

Beth Porter

Beth Porter

Vice President, Program Services

Ms. Porter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Stanford University and a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs/Social Change and Development from Johns Hopkins University. She joined Freedom from Hunger in 1999 after eleven years of work in microfinance and organizational development in over twenty countries around the world.

Kathleen E. Stack

Kathleen E. Stack

Vice President, Program Development

Ms. Stack, who holds a Master of International Administration degree, joined Freedom from Hunger in 1984. Ms. Stack serves as the lead for, and is co-creator of, Freedom from Hunger's Financial Education for the Poor initiative. Ms. Stack was one of the original architects of the Credit with Education program, designing the credit component of the service and creating systems for training credit union partners to reach poorer, more rural communities.

Sean Kline

Sean Kline

Director, Reach Global

Holds a Masters degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, with a concentration in poverty and social policy and NGO management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Development from the University of Minnesota, with a concentration on the informal sector. Mr. Kline brings more than 10 years of microfinance and institutional development experience from Africa, Asia, and the Balkans, including consultancies for international organizations in Ghana, Uganda, India, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, and the United States.

Christian M. X. Loupeda

Senior Technical Advisor

Mr. Loupeda joined Freedom from Hunger in the spring of 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Arts degree in Development Economics, both from the University of Paris. Mr. Loupeda spent the last seven years working for the World Bank in Benin and prior to that worked for a Beninese microfinance organization.
