Celebrate self-help heroes

I want to echo Chris’s message of welcome to every participant logged on today! We’re so happy that you are taking the time to celebrate the self-help heroes we have the privilege to work with every day. What I love about microfinance is its ability to be shaped into a tool that meets the varied needs of the hungry. By adding lifeskills training and innovative ways to finance health costs,, as Freedom from Hunger does, it can work to end hunger as well as poverty and ill-health. You will hear much more about this throughout the day. We welcome your questions and participation. Let the blogging begin! Please share your comments and questions. I and other staff will check back periodically to answer and stay engaged with you throughout the day.
