want to educate others about global chronic hunger and poverty. You can make
a difference with some of the below ideas, but you are welcome to create your
own advocacy activity, too!

Get Involved in Community Clubs
Do you belong to a community group that is interested in
hearing more about Freedom from Hunger? Give your group an inspiring presentation.

Form a Volunteer Core
Hunger ends when action begins! If you’re currently a one-person show
and want to enlist the help of others in your area, Freedom from Hunger can
provide you with useful tips to rallying folks together. Our action
kit includes:
Improve a Book Club
Already part of a book group? Invite members to read a book from our recommended
list. When you discuss the book, provide information to participants about Freedom
from Hunger. Submit to us any questions and answers that come up during your
discussion, and we will share them with other book groups.
Start a Grassroots Campaign
Write to Congress, or send an opinion piece to your local
newspaper editor. Here are two templates:
Develop a Young Mind
Are you a teacher? Do you have kids of your own who are ready to learn about
how the rest of the world lives? Use our Reading List to guide them through
an exploration of the world through literary adventures. The list was compiled
especially for Freedom from Hunger by volunteer, donor and school teacher, Dan
