The Archimedes Society of Freedom from Hunger

Because leverage is central to our effectiveness as a modest $10 million organization that serves millions of people in 16 countries through 240 partners, the leaders of Freedom from Hunger chose to underscore that attribute when selecting a name for a new major donor program.

Members of the Archimedes Society will include individuals, family foundations, and institutions with a commitment to ending hunger for the one billion people in the world who suffer from poverty, illness, and the lack of opportunity for self-improvement. By supporting Freedom from Hunger, members of the Archimedes Society are helping us develop, demonstrate, and disseminate life-changing self-help tools for the chronically hungry poor.
