About the Freedom from Hunger Foundation

The Freedom from Hunger Foundation’s sole purpose is to support Freedom from Hunger’s ability to achieve its mission. Its funding is generated mostly by the generous bequests made by our longtime and loyal donors. The Foundation provides special oversight of these bequests and allows them to be used strategically to advance our self-help programs.

Bequests & Freedom from Hunger Foundation

Freedom from Hunger has established a supporting foundation to ensure that, as long as there are hungry people, we are there to help.

Although the Freedom from Hunger Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization and has its own Board of Trustees, it makes grants only to Freedom from Hunger. Its Board of Trustees includes Weldon Wasson, Chair; Ed Michael Reggie; and Sheila Leatherman. Joan Dickey serves the board as its staff coordinator and assistant secretary. For more information about the Freedom from Hunger Foundation, contact Joan Dickey.

All gifts made to the Freedom from Hunger Foundation are fully tax-deductible.
