Davis CA , September 9, 2008 — Freedom from Hunger announced today that it has received the highly respected four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation's premier charity evaluator that offers the "good housekeeping" seal of approval for sound fiscal management, for the second consecutive year. There is no higher rating than four out of four stars.
Ken Berger, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, congratulated Freedom from Hunger on this achievement. "Only 17 percent of the charities we've rated have received at least two consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Freedom from Hunger consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Freedom from Hunger from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
The American Institute of Philanthropy released recently released its own ratings of America’s charitable organizations. Daniel Borochoff, President, stated, "We are pleased to inform you that your organization has met the stringent standards for financial efficiency and accountability required by AIP to quality it for listing as a Top-Rated charity."
