Porter Novelli Partners with Freedom from Hunger

Agency to provide communications support for organization celebrating 60th anniversary


SAN JOSE, CA, August 15, 2006
– Porter Novelli announced today that it has begun working with Freedom from
Hunger, a global non-profit organization dedicated to lifting women and their families from the cycle of hunger and poverty. In this partnership, Porter Novelli will help Freedom from Hunger raise awareness for its Reach for Three Million plan and high-impact malaria initiative, as well as increase general name recognition among the organization’s target audiences. Additional efforts will be focused on publicizing upcoming Freedom from Hunger events, including celebrations for the organization’s 60th anniversary this year.

Porter Novelli's Silicon Valley office has already begun work with the non-profit, international development organization, providing media training and relations, community outreach and other services.

Freedom from Hunger is celebrating 60 years of global efforts in combating chronic hunger, the spread of malaria and HIV/AIDS through its innovative programs integrating microfinance loans with training and education. This unique combination of lifeskills training and loan and savings programs has equipped mothers throughout the world with the knowledge and money they need to succeed. Currently Freedom from Hunger has set forth a goal to increase their service outreach to three million women and their families by 2010 through their Reach for Three Million initiative.
