Freedom from Hunger Day 2008 a Big Success

September 28th was Freedom from Hunger Day 2008, and we wish to thank the many hundreds of people who participated in the online event. With your help, we met the Global Hunger Challenge by securing $30,000 in matching funds to sustain and expand our programs. In the time surrounding Freedom from Hunger Day, visitors learned about our programs, spread the message of our work, and saw the faces of those affected by the Global Hunger Crisis. With your help, Freedom from Hunger is making substantial improvements in the lives of people living with chronic hunger through our distinctive integration of microfinance, education, and health protection programs. We look forward to celebrating that progress during Freedom from Hunger Day 2009…and beyond.
