South of Burkina Faso, east of Cote d’Ivoire and west of Togo, Ghana lies on the beautiful Gulf of New Guinea. Although just slightly smaller than the state of Oregon, Ghana is one of the most densely populated countries in West Africa. Although Ghana’s history is one of exploitation and slavery, the native Ashanti peoples are arguably some of the most welcoming people you will ever meet.
