Project Manager,  Bridge To Financial Inclusion – Burkina Faso

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the program: “Bridge to Financial Inclusion” and will report to the Africa Director and operate under her overall guidance. The Project Manager will be based in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and will manage all activities to ensure that project operations are carried out in a well-coordinated and efficient manner under supervision of the Freedom from Hunger Africa Director. The Project Manager will play the interface role with the project’s external partners. He/she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with project counterparts located in Burkina Faso, Freedom from Hunger West Africa Office in Bamako (Mali), and U.S. headquarters (California).

Country Project Manager – Burkina Faso, West Africa

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the program: “Building Resilience of Vulnerable Communities in Burkina Faso”. He/she will also oversee all Freedom from Hunger operations in Burkina Faso. The Project Manager ensures that all project operations are carried out in accordance with program plans and requirements. He/she supervises the work of a technical team, short-term specialists and local support staff, and interfaces with external partners. He/she is be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with project counterparts located in offices in Bamako (Mali) and Davis (California). The Project Manager promotes and represents Freedom from Hunger’s mission and services to prospective funders and partners.

Technical Advisor, Microfinance and Health Protection – West Africa

Under the supervision of the Director, Africa, the Technical Advisor, Microfinance and Health Protection (TA-MAHP) leads Freedom from Hunger’s work in health and nutrition in West Africa. The Technical Advisor, MAHP ensures Freedom from Hunger’s involvement in key health and nutrition initiatives in West Africa and is instrumental in advancing the organization’s agenda in Microfinance and Health Protection in the region..

Director, Savings Groups

The Director, Savings Groups, leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the Savings Group program strategy for Freedom from Hunger. The Director is responsible for scaling up this work and achieving growth, impact and business development objectives. S/he provides technical assistance and guidance to Freedom from Hunger leadership, program services staff, and all international staff to support Savings Group programming. The Director leads Savings Group expansion and integration of additional development services to improve both financial inclusion and resilience of women and youth to achieve Freedom from Hunger’s mission. The Director develops diverse and coordinated partnerships with public and private sector organizations and other stakeholders to increase scale and impact of Savings Group methodologies and Freedom from Hunger’s global leadership and visibility in the Savings Group arena. Responsibilities also include the incorporation of quality performance standards and sustainable and scalable models for Savings Group programs. The Director provides strategic oversight and technical support to strengthen Freedom from Hunger’s local office staff capacity to design, deliver and monitor Savings Group activities in the regions and countries where Freedom from Hunger operates.

Technical Advisor, Product Development

As a member of the Product Development Team, the Technical Advisor, Product Development supports the development of training and education solutions, leveraging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to strengthen Freedom from Hunger’s position as a leader in the development of innovative pro poor scalable products and services. The Technical Advisor, Product Development achieves these objectives by planning, designing, testing, evaluating, documenting, disseminating and implementing innovative services provided by financial services providers and other partner organizations. S/he provides technical assistance to our partners, report on progress and collaborate with peer organizations, vendors, consultants and other important stakeholders.

Trainer and Curriculum Developer - Ecuador

The Trainer and Curriculum Developer supports the innovation and design of health and financial education tools including training modules, learning conversations, learning games, and educational material that will be delivered by various local organizations to chronically hungry poor women and families to protect their health and well-being. The Trainer and Curriculum Developer assists in the development of Freedom from Hunger’s training systems, creates tools to enhance replication of the systems, and experiments with e-learning and distance learning alternatives.
